Grid Direct Solar System
The photovoltaic (PV) solar modules convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity. The (DC) electricity will then flow through a (DC) Disconnect safety device. The (DC) electricity will then go into the Inverter and get converted into (AC) electricity (that can now be used by your houses appliances). The (AC) electricity flows through the (AC) Disconnect safety device into your Breaker Panel. Your Breaker Panel will then disperse this (AC) electricity to your appliances throughout your house. Any excess electricity produced by your Solar (PV) System will then be exported to the Electrical Utility Grid, (spinning the Bi-Directional Utility Meter backward).
When your Solar (PV) System does not produce enough electricity to power all your appliances in your house, electricity is then imported from the Electrical Utility Grid (in effect spinning the Bi-Directional Utility Meter forward).
